Buongiorno. Ho installato Ubuntu 18.04 e con il cavo LAN non si connette a internet, è come se non esistesse. Il Wi-Fi funziona benissimo. Potreste cortesemente aiutarmi scrivendomi la procedura da seguire (non sono un esperto). Grazie mille. Maurizio

  • puoi provare a passare al kernel(temporaneamente): noapic acpi=noirq

Grazie per la disponibilità. Ho provato ma non ci sono riuscito..le mie conoscenze non sono molto spinte. Non credevo che collegare un pc con la LAN con Ubuntu fosse così complicato.....secondo te non c'è un metodo più semplice, dando dei comandi dal terminale?

(17 Apr '20, 12:47) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image
  • hai altri kernel da avviare?

  • non e' difficile aggiungere quei parametri al kernel usando la guida di sopra

(17 Apr '20, 14:08) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

Ok, allora riprovo...grazie ancora per la tua pazienza e disponibilità....

(17 Apr '20, 14:11) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

altro tentativo da provare:

sudo rmmod r8169

sleep 2

sudo modprobe r8169

(17 Apr '20, 14:53) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

~$ sudo rmmod r8169 rmmod: ERROR: Module r8169 is not currently loaded

Con i comandi sleep 2 e sudo modprobe r8169 non dà nessuna risposta.

che vedi dalle ultime 10 linee del comando: dmesg

dopo aver fatto: sudo modprobe r8169

p.s. che vedi da: ip a

Grazie SACARDE, Con Windows 8 la LAN ha sempre funzionato. Ecco i comandi che mi hai chiesto:

$ sudo rmmod r8169 rmmod: ERROR: Module r8169 is not currently loaded

sleep 2 non mi da niente

quale kernel hai avviato? uname -a

(18 Apr '20, 08:52) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

il 5.0.0-23, come da te suggerito.

(18 Apr '20, 09:06) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

$ uname -a Linux maurizio-SATELLITE-NB10-A-102 5.0.0-23-generic #24~18.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jul 29 16:12:28 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

proverei a passare al kernel (temporaneamente) questi parametri:

noapic acpi=noirq

oppure:

pcie_aspm=off

seguendo questa guida: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/KernelBootParameters#Temporarily_Add_a_Kernel_Boot_Parameter_for_Testing

dopodiche vedere se ha creato il device eth... da: ip a

(18 Apr '20, 09:22) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

ok, ci provo

(18 Apr '20, 09:24) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

Fatto, che ne dici?

(18 Apr '20, 10:10) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

eseguito passo passo con noapic acpi=noirq. Risulta questo:

$ ip a 1: lo: <loopback,up,lower_up> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: wlp2s0: <broadcast,multicast,up,lower_up> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 64:5a:04:b2:28:42 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 192.168.1.6/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global dynamic noprefixroute wlp2s0 valid_lft 21561sec preferred_lft 21561sec inet6 fe80::54fb:e8d4:c2ac:fc2a/64 scope link noprefixroute valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

  • purtroppo non e' cambiato nulla...

per verificare che i parametri siano stati presi esegui:

cat /proc/cmdline

  • proviamo con il parametro: pcie_aspm=off
(18 Apr '20, 10:16) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

ok riprovo...grazie per la pazienza...

(18 Apr '20, 10:19) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

fatto......

(18 Apr '20, 10:30) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

Con la seconda modifica del kernel:

~$ ip a 1: lo: <loopback,up,lower_up> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN group default qlen 1000 link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00 inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever inet6 ::1/128 scope host valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: wlp2s0: <broadcast,multicast,up,lower_up> mtu 1500 qdisc noqueue state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 64:5a:04:b2:28:42 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 192.168.1.6/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global dynamic noprefixroute wlp2s0 valid_lft 21529sec preferred_lft 21529sec inet6 fe80::54fb:e8d4:c2ac:fc2a/64 scope link noprefixroute valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever

se confermi che i parametri siano stati presi, bisogna cercare altre strade!

(questi parametri li hai aggiunti al kernel 5.3.0-46, no?)

p.s. hai altre live da poter provare?

(18 Apr '20, 10:35) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

esattamente. Passo passo come scritto nella guida. ...non ho parole...sono sconfortato....non pensavo fosse così complicato...

(18 Apr '20, 10:51) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

Per sicurezza l'ho rifatto con il parametro noapic acpi=noirq Noti differenze?

altra prova:

sudo apt-get install fwts

sudo fwts aspm

dmesg | egrep 'enp2s0|r8169'

sudo ethtool -s enp2s0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off

p.s. preso da discussione simile: https://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=616297&start=40

p.s. confermi che hai il "secureboot" attivato

(18 Apr '20, 11:03) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

ok, sto eseguendo la prima prova (fwts), appena finisco ti faccio sapere.

(18 Apr '20, 11:35) mauriziomauro mauriziomauro's gravatar image

in dettaglio cosa eseguire:

git clone https://github.com/ghostrider-reborn/realtek-r8101-linux-driver

cd realtek-r8101-linux-driver

sudo modprobe -r r8169

sudo sh -c 'echo blacklist r8169 >> /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf'

sudo ./autorun.sh

lsmod | grep r8101

sudo modprobe r8101

p.s. se non hai i pacchetti per la compilazione:

sudo apt install build-essential linux-headers-$(uname -r)

(18 Apr '20, 11:42) sacarde sacarde's gravatar image

Prova dopo aver installato fwts:

maurizio@maurizio-SATELLITE-NB10-A-102:~$ sudo fwts aspm [sudo] password di maurizio: Running 1 tests, results appended to results.log Test: PCIe ASPM test.
