Errori terminale e configurazione pacchetti

Ciao! Sono nuova qui ne capisco niente. Grazie in anticipo
Il sofwtare center si carica a fatica e non compaiono più aggiornamenti 
ho provato da terminale e:

Hai un pasticcio di sources list con trusty 14.04 xenial 16.04 e varie PPA oltre a righe duplicate. Comincia col trasformare in commenti le righe delle PPA che poi potrai riaggiungere quando le cose saranno sistemate. Poi commenta i proposed ed elimina le righe duplicate di trusty. vedi se va, auguri!

Grazie, ho provato e mi da: file: /etc/apt/sources.list Comando "file:" non trovato. Forse si intendeva: Comando "file2" dal pacchetto "file-kanji" (universe) Comando "file" dal pacchetto "file" (main) file:: comando non trovato
