Ciao a tutti! Ho un vecchio e lento PC del 2005 con installato windows xp, navigo in internet con una chiavetta usb wifi che collego tramite l'hotspot del cellulare. La chiavetta è: 802.11n USB wireless LAN card prodotta da Ralink, ora Mediatek. Vorrei rendere più reattivo il PC, provando ad installare Linux su chiavetta. Ho provato varie versioni consigliate come leggere: Linux puppy, slako, puppy precise... Con nessuna delle versioni riesco a collegare la chiavetta ad internet. Chi mi può consigliare una versione "leggera", in italiano, e ha la pazienza di insegnarmi passo passo ad installare la chiavetta per potermi collegare ad internet?

INFO: -Ho scaricato su windows la cartella con il driver consigliato da mediatek DPO_MT7601U_LinuxSTA_3.0.0.4_20130913.tar ma non ho idea di come metterlo su LINUX. -Non ho altra connessione per pc.

Fino ad ora ho usato linux live usb creator... se scelgo l'unico Lubuntu nelle opzioni (15.04 Vivid Vervet LXDE) esce "nessun mirror trovato online" Cosa posso usare al posto di Linux live usb?

Se dal desktop apro Firefox ci vogliono 10 secondi per aprire la finestra bianca, altri ad ora che si legge l'intera pagina, se scrivo nel motore di ricerca appaiono le lettere dopo, una alla volta, anche per chiudere la finestra ci vogliono almeno 5 secondi.

p.s. potresti provare a installarlo e a caricare un'interfaccia grafica ancora piu' minimale

p.s. oppure altre distro tipo puppy ma con kernel aggiornato, tipo "antix" o "Tiny Core Linux"
